Yesterday was bloody fantastic! I got to help out with the Giant Squid! Granted, I can't say I did very much, but when it comes to supervising, I did quite well. It was a nice change of pace, at any rate. Nothing wrong with breaking up the monotony every now and again, is there? From what I hear, the sucker seems to be recovering from his cold. I guess the only way to know for sure is to ask Professor Grubbly-Plank himself.
A big happy birthday to Mr. Frank Longbottom! I hope that a lot of drinking and debauchery is in the cards for you! I add this for the benefit of Molly Weasley and any paranoid prefects who might be reading - I jest! This is school, after all, and we must stick diligently to our studies and turn away from such terrible distractions. And that stuff is against the rules. Eek!

I wish that we could throw around some nice congratulations and throw parties for the next week, but it's not as easy as that. We're getting flak for no bloody reason from the other houses and also from ourselves, which is just shite. We played spectacularly, there's no denying that, and if our only problem is that we're not throwing as many elbows as Slytherin or aiming to murder them, then that's nothing to be ashamed of. Tempers were high, of course, and they deserved what came to them for how dirtily they were playing to start with.
We need to support each other.

I don't want to point any fingers, but we dropped the ball on Saturday. We need more time on the pitch, obviously, so I'm going to rework our schedule to make it happen. I don't want to hear any complaints, either. If you want to be on the team, then you're going to have to sacrifice a significant chunk of free time. That's just how it works. One loss won't keep us from the cup and we will win that damn thing. We have no damn excuse for losing to Ravenclaw

Peach Rings! My mum sent along two packs of Peach Rings from my grandparents! Now, I don't just toss these buggers around like candy, I'll have you know, I'll only give you one if you do something in order to deserve it. Really, you'd have to go through lots of trouble to get one of these off of me, it's just not worth it for you. You might as well just pretend these lovelies aren't even in the castle!

Haven't written in this thing due to it sucking, but classes are cancelled and all of my casts are going wonky. What the hell are we supposed to do if things stay this way? Is this going on everywhere or just here? Do you think it might do permanent damage to our wands if we continue attempts? I can't even imagine what might be causing this, but I might just go mad if it isn't righted quickly.
I've had a busy few days, dear diary! I've been running my quidditch team ragged, I made an epic stack of goblets with Xajo, and I rescued Kates from Peeves. Good start to my reign, isn't it? I've got an actual crown and a kingly cloak now, as well. If I'm going to be the part then I must look it, yeah?

Welcome back to school, students! I don't know about you, seventh years, but this might be the last year I ever, ever touch a book that isn't made strictly for entertainment purposes. Don't study too hard, don't flunk out, have fun, have too much fun, and remember that this school is just an excuse for all of us to gather and play Quidditch! That said, I'd like to announce my captaincy (as if that should be a surprise) and give a fair warning to all of you Gryffindors that try-outs will be on September 11th at 9AM. Be there or deprive yourself of a chance at a hell of an excellent year! I'm going to compile the greatest team that Gryffindor has ever seen, that I promise you.
This is what I've got so far, folks. I'm a Chaser. I'll need two more. Then I'll need a Keeper and two Beaters and perhaps a Seeker. I'd love a few players on reserve in the case that those initially chosen can't keep up. "Keep up with what, King Fredizzles?!" you ask, and so I respond, "Keep up with my demanding practice schedule!" That's right, folks. I hope you're not overloaded with academics because if you plan to be on the team this year, it's going to eat up your time like a starving chimp. Of course, I look fondly upon those who played last year because the dynamic was great, but I'm not going to close myself off to fresh talent or honed skills. Everyone gets a shot at every position but mine! Do I sound greedy? I shouldn't. If I didn't deserve my spot then I suppose someone else would've been dubbed captain, yeah? Now that that's cleared up, Gryffindor, let me know here what positions you're interested in trying out for and I'll make sure that there's time for you. I'll run try-outs all day if I've got to, but I'm going to try to put some order to things just so that no one is overlooked.
